On Friday August 25th, 2017, only the newest version of form I-485 will be accepted by USCIS. Any filing with the ‘old’ version of the form will be rejected.

What is form I-485?
In family-based immigration, it is a request filed by an individual from within the United States to change from a temporary visa to a green card.
What happened?
USCIS released a new version of form I-485.
What is different in the new form?
The new form is longer, 18 pages instead of 6. It contains:
- More detailed questions about the applicant’s location and employment history
- New questions about the applicant’s biographic information which mirror the ones about the sponsor in the I-130
- Revised admissibility-related questions.
What does it change for the adjustment of status filing?
Form G-325 is no longer needed.
